Layered Corn Casserole

Layered Corn Casserole

1-1/2 lbs. potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
1 can (17 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained
1 green pepper, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 carrots, sliced
1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Parsley for garnish

Layer potatoes evenly in oiled baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Spread corn over the potatoes. Sprinkle with green pepper, onion and carrots. Crumble beef over the top. Sprinkle with marjoram and additional salt and pepper. Top with tomato sauce, spreading evenly. Bake, covered, at 350 F. for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer. Garnish with parsley before serving. (4 to 6 servings).
